Cinnamon Tea

Back in the day, my grandma would make cinnamon tea.  If we had a cold, flu, sore throat, whatever, this was the cure… or at least it made you feel a little better and tasted awesome!!  Now there’s no real recipe and everything is “to taste”, and you can add whatever you like.

3-4 cinnamon sticks

One apple cut up

One orange cut up

Take everything and boil it for a few minutes, then let it simmer for a good 15-20 minutes. (cinnamon takes a while to really disperse flavor)

It’ll smell like a fall candle or an dessert in the oven!
Serve in a tea/coffee cup add either honey or sugar to taste. (I use honey, it’s better for you and tastes great with cinnamon and apples)
And if you REALLY need a kick, add half a shot of burbon.   WORKS EVERY TIME!!
And like I said, you can add anything you like to taste!

Try it, it’s GREAT for cold days or nights!!
