Mötley Crüe will release a 40th Anniversary Limited Edition Deluxe Box Set of their iconic album Theatre of Pain set to arrive November 14.
Theatre of Pain was originally released in June 1985 and featured the hit songs “Smokin’ In The Boys Room” (which gave the Crüe their first U.S. Top 20 hit, climbing to No. 16), and the ballad “Home Sweet Home,” which made history on MTV, topping the request charts for more than 90 consecutive days. Theatre of Pain also became the Crüe’s first album to break into the U.S. Top 10, peaking at No. 6. It holds RIAA quadruple-platinum status in the U.S. and triple platinum in Canada.
The anniversary box set of Theatre of Pain includes: a remastered ‘Theatre of Pain’ on colored vinyl; reimagined artwork; a previously unreleased 1985 Long Beach concert on double LP; rare demo recordings and a 76-page hardcover book filled with never-before-seen photos and stories.
Beyond the deluxe edition, the anniversary release comes in multiple formats, including standard CD, vinyl, Dolby Atmos audio, and exclusive variants at Walmart, Amazon, Urban Outfitters, and independent record shops. A special cassette edition will be sold only at the Crüeseum.
