So the Phillies played the Cardinals in Game one of the National League Wild Card series today. The game started at 2PM. How incredibly lame is that? I was still able to see the game thanks to the internet but still, I would rather have watched it from my couch with a can of Bud in my had. Or better yet, watched it from the stands. I would totally have driven to St. Louis for that. Absolutely. In a heartbeat. And of course, being that it is St. Louis, there would be abundant Bud, and it would be fresh. Man, I really want to see a ball game in St. Louis now.
At least the Phillies won. Here’s hoping for another win in game two tomorrow, which is on in prime time. Of course, it’s Saturday so I won’t be working anyway. But seriously, what where they thinking scheduling a playoff game for 2:00 on a Friday afternoon. That is so ridiculous.
I just checked the mileage to St. Louis. According to Google, it’s 742 miles. An 11 hour drive. Yeah, I would totally do it. The tickets are only 22 dollars!! Oh why did I have to look that up?? Now I’m bummed because I can’t go.
